My passion is motorsport and I’ve dedicated the last three years to my motorsport career and I’ve been very lucky to have parents who understand the commitment required to be dedicated to such a demanding sport. I had a relatively short but successful karting career and was always focused on racing cars and made the move into car racing three years ago at the age of 16 when I competed at the front of the U.K. Mini JCW Championship: for 2018 I stepped up to European racing in the European TCR Championship with Hyundai and double German TCR champions Target Competition’ racing at the front alongside some very experienced regional TCR champions.
For 2019 we opened a new chapter of racing with Porsche Motorsport; "it was a really exciting move to rear wheel drive super cars. Porsche has been a life-long dream and it was great to be lining up on the grid, alongside the establishment of Porsche Cup drivers. I would like to thank everyone at Porsche Motorsport and especially the Porsche Talent Pool team for their support throughout this season; i would also like to extend a special thanks to all my sponsors and supporters".
Rodrigo Loyo, driver mentor, commented; “Reece has just completed two massive years in Europe with some very experienced racers and has learned a lot which will help our 2020 campaign. We have some exiting plans, places and people in the mix for 2020 and the winter will be busy and exiting.
As I continue to prioritise my motorsport career I keep myself busy with winter preparations within the MSI Programme and also as a junior project manager with Street Drone as they develop their interesting range of Autonomous Vehicles and in my spare time I continue to help with fundraising activities as part of worthy Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.
My other interests include graphical designing, electronics and aerodynamics; and my outdoor activities include mountain biking, road biking and rock climbing.
