Another new track for Reece in the GT3 car. But this was no restriction for him after topping the final practice session by 3 tenths with reduced running. Luck would not go his way in Qualifying though as he got blocked on both his new tyre fast laps while 3 tenths up through the first sector alone. And with the track temp so high the tyres were gone after this and it was impossible for Reece to salvage anything. This made race 1 very difficult. And with contact in the first corner this resulted in no points but a fight from 20th to 13th. Race 2 was a better scenario with Mikaeel handing the car to Reece in 13th after a tricky start. Reece with a completely different setup from Saturday was on the raged edge from the press of the Pit Speed button to the flag. Holding the fastest lap and passing over 6 cars. Half way through his stint though a malfunction in the steering resulted in a very unsafe car so Reece had avoid all kerbs and be very conservative with the car to manage the gap to 7th and get the car to the end because of this he had to settle for 6th. A positive result from a challenging weekend.
Reece Commented; "A challenging weekend and another one that could have been great but we have learned a lot and we will focus on our weaknesses and improve for the next one in Paul Ricard"
