An End to a Bitter Sweet Season

Friday 26th September 2019 - Free Practice

First time at another new circuit and Reece was set for another test on a very technical track and the Friday session which again set for wet / damp weather and changing track conditions; and Friday would not be normal without the flurry of yellow and red flags. The first part of the session for Reece was an introductory test run and the teenage racer found his feet quickly to finish the session as P4 rookie.

RB: “It's a great circuit and i really love the layout but its a test weekend for me as i don't need to be a hero. We haven't test here and i just want to build my experience of the circuit."

Saturday 27th September 2019 - Qualifying

Saturday morning qualifying was dry and would be yet again be different to Reece's run yesterday and this weekend was to see a different approach from the teenage BRDC Rising Star of looking beyond qualifying for the certainty of the races. The teenager would start both races from P25

RB: “It was hard to get it in one lap as the circuit was very different to yesterday so i wasn't going to risk unknown limits as this circuit would punish you hard. My focus this weekend is to give my sponsors an insight to the championship and i need the running to do that".

Saturday 27th September 2019 - Race 1

Race 1 would see Reece get a good start and hold position for the opening laps; he did well to get trough a incident but it was clear again the teenager was struggling with corner speed and the race became a bit of a test run which would see the 88 car finish in P24.

Sunday 28th September 2019 - Race 2

Race 2 Sunday lunchtime would see Reece get another good start and the weather was dry and consistent but it was going to be hard from the back on such a technical circuit. Reece was solid throughout the race and appeared focused on bring the car home to finish a very challenging season.

RB: “Unfortunately our year has been punishing with poor car performance and bad luck; and with a little better i could have pushed the more experienced rookies; my only two DNF's were caused incidents and my car since Red Bull has been crap and we didn't get it sorted; our dropped points were so frustrating”

"I would like to thank the Porsche Talent Pool team and wish all the Talent Pool drivers every success for the future; and without my sponsors and parents support it just would not have been possible, excited to see what comes together for our 2020 campaign😉"
