Déjà Vu at Hockenhiem for the Penultimate Round

Friday 13th September 2019 - Free Practice

Back to familiar ground for the first time this season for Reece and with a typical Friday format of one session which was set to be challenged with changeable weather and changing track conditions the teenager was in positive form. And like most Friday's this season the session was interrupted a number of times with yellow flags and a safety car incident. The first part of the session Reece was running in P8 and leading the rookie runners but the second phase of the session seen all three Forch car struggle for pace with positions 13, 21 and 25.

RB: “It's great to be back at Hockenheim and I'm really looking forward to this weekend as my pace in the first round was strong and as we didn't run any good tyres today I guess our positions reflected the team's decision. We need to have a good run tomorrow morning to get a good grid position as everyone is chasing a good weekend and our form needs to change overall”

Saturday 14th September 2019 - Qualifying

Saturday morning qualifying would see the changeable weather continue with a drying Hockenheim circuit' Reece was really focused again on his qualifying session and his starting position in this very tight grid. The BRDC Rising Star was off to a strong start on his first tyre run with the good track position behind championship contender Ammermuller which seen him running P12 overall when they stopped for the second phase tyre's but again luck was not on Reece's side as he was to experience another red flag to rob him from a potential top 10 finish.

RB: “I really don't know what to say - when we get it somewhat right my luck with red flags is just crap in both sessions I had the perfect positioning and my best lap was compromised with someone going off again; this afternoon I'm just going to race with no plan".

Sunday 15th September 2019 - Race 2

Race 2 Sunday morning the weather was dry but the grey sky was playing havoc with the minds of all the racers. Reece was in good form going to the assembly area and had a good start and gained a few positions on for the opening. But again the 88 car seemed to struggle for pace and for the second race this weekend he was to lose his rookie podium place on the last lap, but with all the challenge the teenage driver would better race one with a P13 finish.

RB: “My weekend is OK in terms of finishes but it doesn't reflect the potential and again I lose important rookie points on the last lap as the car was just horrible to drive and I just don't get why we are struggling with this problem as it's now at an embarrassing level.

"It was another enjoyable weekend with the Porsche Talent Pool group and as we approach the final round it was great to get the key help and advice from Wolf and Marcus.”
